SnapLogic turns pipelines into tools.
Engini governs each call.
SnapLogic is a strong application and data integration platform where any pipeline can become an MCP tool. Engini gives agents ready-to-call tools for systems of record and checks every call against its toolset and approval rules.

Pipelines first, or the call first
SnapLogic unifies application integration, data integration and API management on a visual pipeline canvas. With AgentCreator and its MCP support, any pipeline with a defined input and output can act as an MCP tool, and SnapGPT can now generate those pipelines.
Engini starts from the agent call. Tools for each connected system are ready to call, and each call is scoped by toolset, held for approval when needed and logged.
Where SnapLogic is strong
- Application and data integration (including ELT) on one platform
- 1,000+ prebuilt Snaps
- Groundplex runtime behind the firewall at the same price as Cloudplex
- AgentCreator and Agent Visualizer for tracing agent steps
- SnapGPT generation of agent and MCP server pipelines
Where Engini is built to win
- Toolsets that decide which tools each agent can see
- Approvals that hold risky calls for a person
- An audit trail of every call, its arguments and the person it acted for
- Live schema for SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Workday and Salesforce, custom fields included
- On-Prem Agent for systems behind the firewall, outbound only
- MCP, SDK, CLI, REST and a no-code canvas on one core
SnapLogic vs Engini, side by side
Choose Engini, SnapLogic, or both
Choose Engini when
- You want agents in systems of record without building a pipeline per tool
- You want approvals on individual calls
- You want agent governance without extra add-on licenses
- You want to start free
Choose SnapLogic when
- You need heavy data integration and ELT alongside application integration
- Your team already designs and runs SnapLogic pipelines
- You want agents built as governed pipelines on one canvas
Where the difference shows up
With SnapLogic: Build a pipeline that wraps the update and publish it as an MCP tool.
With Engini: Add workday.worker.update to the HR agent's toolset with approval for sensitive fields.
With SnapLogic: A natural fit: SnapLogic ELT pipelines.
With Engini: Use your data platform. Engini is not a warehouse loader, it governs agent actions.
With SnapLogic: Review pipelines, APIM policies and MCP logs.
With Engini: Show the toolset, the approval rules and the audit log in one place.
Using SnapLogic and Engini together
SnapLogic can keep moving data into your warehouse and between applications. Engini handles the live, per-call actions agents take in ERP, HR and CRM, with approvals and an audit trail.

SnapLogic vs Engini: common questions
Is Engini a SnapLogic alternative?
For agent access to systems of record, yes. SnapLogic remains a strong choice for data and application integration pipelines.
Does SnapLogic support MCP?
Yes. SnapLogic pipelines and APIM APIs can be MCP servers. In its September 2025 release, MCP auth used bearer tokens with OAuth support announced as coming.
Do I need to build a pipeline for each Engini tool?
No. Once a system is connected, its tools are ready to call and you choose which ones each agent gets.
Can Engini reach on-prem systems?
Yes, through the On-Prem Agent, which runs in your network and calls out only.
How do I connect my AI agent to Engini?
Point any MCP client to https://mcp.engini.io and pass the toolset you want the agent to use in the X-Engini-Toolset header. The same tools are available from the SDK, the CLI and the REST API, and the agent only sees the tools inside its toolset.
